A Business Visitor Visa allows foreign nationals to stay in Canada for a short period, up to six months, without entering the Canadian labor market and for business activities related to their company in the country.
Such individuals can travel to Canada without a work permit, provided that their activities do not directly impact the Canadian labor market.
Business visitors to Canada may come to purchase goods or services for a foreign company, participate in meetings, conferences, exhibitions, or receive post-sales training. They might also come to train employees of a Canadian branch of a foreign company or training provided by a Canadian company that has sold equipment or services.
To qualify as a business visitor, you must demonstrate that:
Your planned stay in Canada is for less than six months
You do not intend to enter the Canadian labor market
Your main place of business, and source of income and profit, is outside Canada
You have documents to substantiate your purpose for the trip
You must also meet the standard entry requirements into Canada, including having a valid travel document, sufficient funds for your stay and return, and posing no security, criminal, or health risk to Canadians.
